Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes to meet client needs and brand aesthetics.
  • Build and maintain custom Shopify apps to extend platform functionality using APIs and webhooks.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance issues in Shopify stores.
  • Optimize websites for speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Integrate third-party tools, plugins, and payment gateways.
  • Stay updated on Shopify trends and new platform features to enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of code, configurations, and processes.


Qualifications and Skills

 

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
  • Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
  • Experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks.
  • Knowledge of version control tools like Git.
  • Basic understanding of Shopify Plus features.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Bonus Skills

 

  • Experience working with Shopify Plus stores and checkout customizations.
  • Familiarity with React, Node.js, or other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify App development using Shopify CLI.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce SEO and performance optimization tools.
